Brochure Distribution Tip No: 9
Every month we will be publishing tips on how to be more effective at brochure distribution. This month's tip is from Tim Betson one our Account Executives:
I have tried out these ideas and they work, so should benefit many clients. Some smaller clients are apprehensive about putting brochures onto www.trade-gate.co.uk due to not having a large print run or because they feel less in control. Two smaller clients of mine were reluctant to display their brochures to agents on Trade-Gate but tried it on a trial basis - they haven't looked back. Using well structured grade sets and accompanying request controls is also something I have used to encourage clients to allow more agents to order brochures - without which shops can’t sell! Two medium sized operators who I manage both now have grades allowing agents previously set to reject to order one pack, generating new business from agents that had not booked with them. Grade Specific Messages can also be used where the operator is not willing let non-productive agents have one small pack of brochures; the message gives the phone number for the agent prompting the agent to call the operator directly to request brochures. This is something I have set up for a long haul operator and they do allow extra orders through where justified. If you have any tips to share please e-mail editor@traveldialogue.co.ukor post them here.
