Make this agent happy and avoid brochure wastage

A cruise only retailer recently contacted us to point out the he was still receiving non-cruise brochures -wasteful for the operators concerned and annoying for him. To overcome this very problem BP had created various categories of specialist and non-shop travel retailers who have different brochure requirements.

Do you apply these when creating grade sets for brochure distributions, saving you brochures and delivery costs?

Here’s how you should use these categories:

The ‘Full Supply’ category: speaks for itself
Grade your productive agents and those where you have commercial arrangements in place.  Make sure the balance of these shops (unless they are in a multiple where there is no commercial deal in place) can order brochures if they want - and perhaps send them a file copy.

Three copies (ie; a small supply) and One copy
Identify those agents who are productive (ie: should be graded) and have a look to see if they do actually need a bulk supply.  If not then alter them to receive a single or a few copies to save brochures and to get them selling.  Consider sending a file copy to the balance of this category.

Set Trade-Gate request controls so these agents are able to order the minimum bulk supply if they want to.

No bulk supply at all
Identify those who are productive (ie: should be graded) and have a look to see if they do actually need a bulk supply (unlikely - but you never know).  Otherwise send file copy to them as they need to know about your latest products.

Set Trade-Gate so these agents are able to order the minimum bulk supply if they want to.

Cruise only
Take out completely for non-cruise products
.  If productive then decide what supply to send and if not then send a file copy to keep them in the loop.

Set Trade-Gate so these agents are able to order the minimum bulk supply if they want to.

Home Workers
Send a file copy in Homeworker Mailbag and make sure they can order one or three copies via Homeworker Trade-Gate.

Your Account Manager will be happy to guide you through this process.
