Brochure Distribution Tip No 21

A tip from BP Account Executive Carly James who worked in a travel agency until earlier this year.

You’ve worked hard to get your brochures on the racks in travel shops - but those pesky potential customers just keep taking them!

Ideally the shop shouldn’t run out as they should spot stocks getting low and re-order - but we don’t live in a perfect world. If a racked brochures is out of stock then either another product may be put in your slot or a shop generated ‘on order’ note may be displayed.

Why not provide a rack card with the file copy and mention why you are doing this in the covering letter. As well as featuring the front cover the rack card can carry the strapline, ‘More on order - ask to see our file copy’.

The rack card effectively reserves your rack slot, keeps your brand on view and prompts the shop to re-order.
